After remaining dormant for about a year, we have re-organized our Detroit ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter Officers.

Free Local Chapter Membership!

We have decided to switch our local chapter’s general memberships to a free model. This way we can stay focused on keeping members informed of upcoming events and support a growing community. Some of our upcoming events will also be free to attend, while some may have a suggested donation for attending.

 The Detroit ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter is planning several exciting events.

Anticipated Detroit ACM SIGGRAPH events include:

• Early November: Adobe Multi-Program Workflows [ Partnered Event with the InDesign Users Group ](now featuring support for all Adobe programs)
• Mid November: 48 Hour Animation and VFX Film Challenge [ Participating as a supportive sponsor of the Schoolcraft Film Challenge Event]

Our current goals

Reconnect the chapter and our members with other professionals, students, organizations and companies involved with motion  graphics, 3D, VFX, interactive and design media. Mailing List Conversion To Free Membership

In our transition to a free local Membership model everyone on our mailing list will  be automatically converted into being a local chapter member of Detroit ACM SIGGRAPH.  If you would like to opt out of being a member of our group send an email to  detsig@siggraph.org  with subject PLEASE REMOVE  and provide your name and email and you will no longer receive emails from our group and would not receive a free local chapter membership to the Detroit chapter.
